The Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., will serve a Thanksgiving dinner from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

People are free to drop in and enjoy food and fellowship in the decorated hall. For those in need of transportation, delivery or carryout, call 208-771-4037 or email [email protected].

The event generally attracts a few hundred people.

A “Heart and Hands” Thanksgiving community outreach is scheduled noon to 4 p.m. at The Cove, 510 S. Clearwater Loop Suite 100, Post Falls. Info: [email protected].

Free Thanksgiving dinners, RSVP by Nov. 17

Local churches are working together to provide free, take-out Thanksgiving dinners on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23; Friday, Nov. 17, is the deadline for reserving dinner.

Pickup will be available 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church on Nov. 23. Deliveries will be made to homebound people only.

The meal consists of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, a roll, cranberry sauce and pie.
